Wade Hampton High School vs Spartanburg High School
64 106

Last night the Viking swimmers swam Wade Hampton in the Bank of America Natatorium at the new Dr. T.K. Gregg Recreation Center. Thank you so much to all of the volunteers, the SHS Staff, and the Spartanburg City Staff for making the meet a success! As usual, special thanks to Todd Staley, Kathy Price, and Kerry Buchert for all their work getting ready for and running our meet!
At last night’s meet, the Viking girls defeated Wade Hampton 106 to 64! The Viking boys lost to Wade Hampton 131 – 35, but all of the boys had either one or two best times in their individual events! Great job, girls, and keep up the good work and improvements, boys! Leading our teams are this year’s Captains: Sophie Kannee, Annika McEnroe, and Jacob Price. We are so thankful for the positive attitudes and encouragement they continue to provide to our younger swimmers!
Scoring for the Vikings were Sophie Kannee*, Caroline Byers*, Annika McEnroe*, Kirsti McEnroe*, Merrin Cetto, Anna Camille Elliot, Karina Martinez, Emie Cate Green, Teagan McEnroe*, Will Maeder, Jacob Price*, Ian Harris, Evan Harris, Anna Buchert*, Leo Valladolid, Wyatt Joyce, and Aaron Campbell. (*Indicates swimmer got a State Championship cut time in one or both of their individual events.)
Anna Buchert, Caroline Byers, Aaron Campbell, Merrin Cetto, Anna Camille Elliot, Evan Harris, Ian Harris, Wyatt Joyce, Will Maeder, Annika McEnroe, Teagan McEnroe, Seth Miller, Margaret Phillips, Jacob Price, Leo Valladolid, Jennifer Waddle, and Karina Martinez all got best times in one or both of their individual events in last night’s meet.
